Back To The Grind

Hi lovelies!
As I’m sure you’re all aware I’ve been a little MIA lately, well that’s due to FINALLY starting back at university. The summer was far too long! But super fun!
Going back to uni is what made me decide to take a little break from my blog and all its social media. I didn’t realise just how much I need this little break so I could settle back in and gather myself before all the coursework hits. But I’m back now and more ready than ever to share some great content with you. I have so many ideas that I’m so excited to write about and photograph, so hang tight and watch this space.

Get Workout Ready with Lapasa

It’s back to university time and while that means back to the books and the late night library study sessions, it also means back to the gym for many of us. Which means? Yep, you guessed it! New gym wear! I must admit I’m a sucker for any workout and lounge wear, so when I was introduced to Lapasa I immediately got excited. The more I looked through their clothing the more I started to fall in love with them. Not only are the colours TO DIE FOR but Lapasa are also extremely affordable, making them perfect for my student budget.

Lapasa are a Canadian workout brand for women and men who currently sell on Amazon, you can find their stuff here: Shop Lapasa

Now, onto the really important bit. The clothing I received! I chose a lovely pair of yoga pants in a berry/red shade and patiently (or rather impatiently) awaited their arrival in the post. And when they arrived I was not to be disappointed. The colour was even more gorgeous than it looked online. I’ve posted a little photo below so you can all marvel at it like I’ve been.

FullSizeRender
I mean how amazing is that colour? I can’t wait to show them off at the gym when uni starts up again. I’m going to be the envy of every girl in there.
Lapasa’s colours range from neutrals, such as black and grey, to fun colours, like green and blue, to funky designs that you NEED to see. There’s something for everyone. Their sizes also range from XS right up to XXL.

Now for the fit; it’s perfect! Enough said.
I’ve always had issues finding leggings and pants that fit me, due to being a UK size 6-8/xs-s but also having wide hips and curves. But these went on and fit like an absolute dream! Hugging all my gorgeous, sexy curves and showing me off in my best light. My body confidence definitely received a major boost! Not only that but the material is one of the softest I’ve felt in a long time. Ladies you need to get on the Lapasa train with me.

Above are a few snaps taken so you can all get an idea of how well these yoga pants fit. And of course to show off the amaze colour again! What can I say? I’ll be showing these bad boys off for weeks to come.

So, we know the pants are comfy and that they looks great on but what about working out in them? Well to test this I did a quick 15 min legs and bum workout and boy was I impressed. The pants stretched with my body, thankfully avoiding the wedgies I’ve grown so accustomed to with other brands. The material was also very breathable, I stayed cool all through my workout with no sweat gathering around my legs or bum. Super impressive!

The main question to answer here is one that Lapasa ask: IMG_6441
My answer would have to be 100% yes. So what are you waiting for? Check them out! I know I’ll be looking them up again VERY soon, pray for my bank account ladies and watch this space! I’ll be running a competition very soon, you too could rock a pair of my fave Lapasa leggings. But if you can’t wait that long then click here to shop my leggings for just £12.45 (Bargain!).

You Can Never Go Wrong With A Little Pink…

I’ve been wanting to write a post like this for a while, so I could share a few of my favourite lip shades and colours with my lovely readers. After some long thought on the subject I have decided to do a series of posts on the topic, cause who doesn’t love a weekly dose of makeup finds and advice eh?!
So, to kick start this little series I have opted to show case a few of my fave shades of pink lipsticks, both matte and glossy. Ranging in prices from super cheap to slightly more expensive. Below I’ve also included some swatches, to show you all exactly how pretty these shades really are!

Let’s begin with this gorgeous Dose of Colors shade. I had been tempted for so long to try their stuff but on my student budget I just couldn’t justify the price tag. Anyway, long story short, I saved the money and splashed out on this little beauty pictured below. And my was it an amazing idea! I’ve never looked back! This little beauty in the shade ‘Truffle’ is a matte liquid lipstick that doesn’t dry your lips out. Yes you heard correctly! A matte lipstick without the regret. What more could a girl ask for?! Oh yeah, and it’s also vegan friendly which is a major bonus! So far I can’t fault Dose of Colors in any way, which is a major surprise. The colour is perfect for both day and night and is super subtle and elegant. If you’re looking for a long lasting, non-drying matte lipstick then take a look at the Dose of Colors website as I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Now onto Bourjois, this brand have been a long time favourite of mine with most of my lipsticks being theirs. If they release a new shade then I’ll probably have it come that very evening. You could say I’m a huge fan! This is my fave shade out of all their pinks though, it’s called ‘Don’t Pink of It’ which I love! What a cute name right?
The staying power of this baby is amazing! Put it on in the morning and it wont budge for the day. The only downside is it can sometimes dry your lips out a little, but some Vaseline before bed will fix that tiny issue by the time you wake up.
Bourjois is a brand I 100% recommend to those who are looking for cute lip shades that are versatile and long lasting. The price tag also won’t break the bank, which makes them perfect for people on a budget who still like to look their best effortlessly. Why not check them out at Boots in store or online. I have provided their link just below the photo. I apologise to your bank accounts in advance…

And you guessed it! It’s Primark time! Do you think I could really write a post on make up without a couple Primark products thrown in? If you did then you don’t know me at all. For those of you who know my blog well you will know that Primark has quickly become a favourite of mine for everything from clothes to makeup and all things in between. I have posted about their matte lipsticks before but this time I’m focusing on their liquid lipsticks, one matte and one glossy.

We’ll begin with their glossy liquid lipstick in the shade 10 Nude and can I just say that this lipstick is one of the nicest I have EVER smelled in my entire life! Seriously girls, you need to smell this baby. I’d also like to comment on the packaging, I was pretty surprised at how elegant and expensive this packaging looks. Something I never expected from a shop that specialises in budget make up and clothing.
Now onto the important bit: What is its staying power like? Well I didn’t expect too much from it but again Primark have surprised me. I recently wore this lipstick to my cousin’s wedding and it stayed on till it was time to eat, only needing to be re-applied once throughout the entire day and night. The texture is creamy but not sticky and it doesn’t dry out your lips. As for the shade; it has quickly become one of my favourites and I plan on popping into my local Primark to pick up a few more of these before they all get scooped up.

My final lipstick is again from Primark, but this time I’d like to talk about a matte one. This shade is a lot lighter than the previous Primark lipstick that I spoke about and, while I do adore the colour, I have been very disappointed with how drying it is. It is not a lipstick that I would advise you wear for a long time, yet I still wear it regularly due to how pretty a shade of pink it is. What can I say? I’m weak! Cut a girl some slack.
The price tag of just €2.50 is a massive selling point as well, I can easily deal with chapped lips if it means I get a shade that perfectly suits me and won’t break the bank. Anyway, chapped lips are nothing a bit of lip scrub and oil can’t fix!
So, while the colour of this lipstick is gorgeous I don’t think I am able to recommend it as I have the others in this post. I just wanted to share it with you as it’s one of my fave pinks at the moment.
All swatches for each product are below.

✨ Review: Nyx Tinted Brow Mascara ✨I cannot fault this brow mascara from Nyx! There is so much product in each tube and the colour is the perfect shade. A perfect dupe for Benefit’s Gimme Brow eyebrow gel and for a third of the price at just €8 from Boots (Benefit costs €26). The staying power of this product is unreal too! It won’t budge, I even wore it into the sea 🌊
Nyx Tinted Brow Mascara is perfect for a day to day look, or you can layer it for a night time and darker look too. I wear shade ‘Brunette’.

✨ Bondi Sands Review using their Light/ Medium Self Tanning Foam: To start, can I just say I could not be more impressed with this product, my skin is glowing! Feel like I’ve just stepped off a plane from my holidays. The photo does not do this product justice! Not only is the shade of the tan amazing but the smell is to die for, my whole house smells like coconuts thanks to this fab tan. When applying it can be on for up to 6 hours before showering off, depending on how deep a tan and how long lasting you want it to be. I left it on for 2 hours and the colour hasn’t started to fade yet after 3 days (and many showers). Talk about impressive! 100% recommend Bondi Sands for anyone looking to get a lovely, glowing tan with minimal effort and no streaks.

Update: This tan lastest well over a week and washed off evenly and without streaking. The best tan I have ever tried by far.
